1. The LOL boys are anatomically correct!
This is absolutely the first thing you must know about all LOL boy tots dolls…
They have a frank and beans.
Yes, these dolls are anatomically correct. AND it’s obvious.
Your little girl will see the male parts and definitely ask questions about them, so if you aren’t ready for the “boys are different from girls” talk, avoid the LOL boys.
However, if your little one has a brother (or even close boy cousins) so has probably already figured this out but never mentioned it. Might be worth asking her what she knows…
2. The surprise ball packaging is bright yellow.
Even though Boys Series 1 and Series 2 had balls that were blue, Series 3 is yellow.
Despite the inventive packaging of some other LOL doll series, LOL boys are keeping it classic with the typical surprise ball.
3. The ball features Far Out.
There are A LOT of fake LOL boys out there, so it’s important to know the packaging of the real series. An authentic ball will feature Far Out, the doll shown below.
Why is this important?
Knowing which dolls are on which products also helps you avoid FAKE LOL doll toys that will have a similar look with different dolls.
Far Out is NOT necessarily the doll inside. If you’re new to LOL dolls, the doll on the ball is just usually a representative of the series, not an indication of the contents.

5. The boys are the brothers of LOL tots dolls.
Always trying to make big happy families, MGA Entertainment (the makers of LOL dolls) have put each of the boys in a family with existing dolls. These doll families from a range of series, but the brother and sister are always in the same club.
Each boy has been styled and named to coordinate with his girl tot sister. Here are the pairings:
- Purple Reign = Purple Queen from Surprise series
- Sweet Guy = Sugar from series 2
- Spicy Kid = Spice from series 2
- Slugger = Short Stop from series 3 Confetti Pop
- Cleats = Kicks from series 2
- Slick = Cherry from series 2
- Far Out = Foxy from series 3 Confetti Pop
- Dreamy Dude = Unicorn from series 3 Confetti Pop
- Pharaoh Bro = Pharaoh Babe from series 3 Confetti Pop
- Honey Boi = Honey Bun from series 2
- $teezy = he’s the first doll in his family

6. There are no lil brothers or sisters for this series.
Just to clarify, the lil brothers and lil sisters are part of other series–not specifically the LOL boy series.
For example, Pharaoh Bro’s little sister, Lil Pharaoh Babe, has actually been released in Series 5 Makeover Series Lils.
So why is this important?
Because your little one is HIGHLY UNLIKELY to be able to create a complete family unless your buy lots (and we mean lots) of dolls. It’s better to focus her or his attention on getting cool dolls to play with, not being uber-collectors.
7. Boy dolls have 7 surprises.
Just like old school LOL dolls, the boys have:

- Water surprise sticker

8. Each dolls has 1 of 4 water surprises.
Your little one’s boy LOL doll will either spit, cry, tinkle, or color change.
There is only one version of each doll, so (hopefully) your doll will do what’s on the collector poster. If not, the doll has a manufacturer’s defect but MGA Entertainment does not send replacement dolls for this.

Maybe for the guys, if they pay homage to specific person- Like bye bye boy is JT that they dont put them in a family. So he would be Glee club bc he’s a singer. Like Piano King is Elton John and also doesn’t have a family. Just my guess.
