Shopkins Shoppies World Vacation is one of our favorite collectible doll series…ever!

We dream about international travel a lot and make it to a few other countries regularly, so World Vacation Shoppies are just what we like. These dolls can also transport your little one to another country (figuratively of course) or be a great companion on a long trip.

Even if you’re not ready to pack her bag just yet, your little one may have questions about geography, other countries, and other cultures–all from playing with Shopkins Shoppies World Vacation dolls. Not all dolls prompt such conversations!

1. Each doll in the series is themed around a different place she visits.

Shopkins Shoppies World Vacation dolls center around different location and culture inspired themes. Each doll’s headband, clothes, and shoes are designed to mimic cultural clothing of a specific country. For example, Sara Sushi, who is visiting Japan, wears a pink and black short kimono with braided Harajuku style.

These World Vacation shoppies also have incredible themed details. Sara Sushi’s outfit is decorated with Japanese cherry blossoms and one small sushi roll. The top of her outfit is also reminiscent of a piece of sushi. Her shoes are decorated with more cherry blossoms and sushi rice.

Too cute!

2. Shopkins Shoppies World Vacation dolls come with 2 shopkins and other goodies.

The doll is obviously the main attraction, but there are other toys included in the package!

Each World Vacation Shoppie comes with 2 matching shopkins. Sara Sushi, for instance, comes with a teapot and stacked tea cups decorated with the same colors.

Shopkins Shoppies World Vacation dolls also have two other travel essentials: a suitcase and a passport. The suitcase has a handle that the shoppie can use to pull it or can be used to hang the suitcase from your little one’s backpack. Of course, the outside is themed with more location specific details. The suitcase opens so that your little one can pack her doll’s necessities–including her passport–inside.

3. There’s a luggage tag for your little one included.

A fun little cardboard luggage tag is inside for your little one to use. Her Shoppie from the box is featured.

4. Don’t throw away the doll stand.

All the Shopkins Shoppies come with plastic doll stands. If your little one isn’t careful, she may through the stand away while unwrapping the packaging.

Keep this stand! Your little one’s shoppie won’t be able to stand upright without it (shoppies have big heads that make them fall over).

5. Shopkins Shoppies are sized to fit inside other Shopkins products.

A benefit of buying dolls inside a universe of products is that most of the products are sized to fit together. Thankfully, Shopkins Shoppies World Vacation dolls fit with the other products as well. If you’ve got the juice truck, beauty parlor, or any other playsets, these gals will fit as well.

6.Your little one can style the Shopkins Shoppies hair. Well, it depends…

We love that Shopkins Shoppies have hair that can be styled. BUT, it depends on which shoppie you have as to how styleable the hair is. Coralee (visiting Australia) has hair that’s easy to style with a doll comb because it’s straight. Bubbleisha (visiting China) has hair that’s already styled into 2 buns, so you can’t really comb her hair without messing it up.

If your little one is really into combing, pick a doll that will have longer straight hair.

7. Some parts of the outfit are interchangeable.

Like other Shopkins Shoppies, the World Vacation dolls have removable parts of their outfits that can mixed and matched with other shoppies. In general, you should be able to remove the fabric circle skirt, shoes, and headband (or beret) to dress other dolls.

The top and tights are painted plastic that are actually part of the doll and not removable.

8. Use the included passport code in the Shopkins World Vacation app.

The Shopkins World Vacation series has its own free game app. Little ones can travel the world playing a ball pop game. When they win, they collect stamps in their passports and travel to new places.

Although the app is free to download, you’ll need the passport code from your shoppie to unlock new levels.

What We Like

• Just about everything! Themes, clothes, matching shopkins, luggage, everything. All of the details for Shopkins Shoppies World Vacation dolls fit together to create a “story” for each doll.

What We Don’t Like

• We love creative hairstyles but it would have been nice if every doll in the series had hair that could be styled without messing it up (we’re looking at you Sara Sushi).
• It would be nice to have more diversity of skin tone considering this is the world vacation series.

Final Verdict

If you have a little one who loves Shopkins and is traveling to one of the World Vacation locations, a Shopkins Shoppies World Vacation doll is a must buy. Even if she’s not traveling just yet but loves to dream, it’s worth getting her one. Imagine all the creativity this doll will stimulate…
